Dream on

They soar high,
high and high,
Dreams,never light,
and always ahead.

Leap, as I may,
to hold them,
shackles tighten,
tight and tight,
and no escape,
from the dreams.

Free,
but I will be,
and no dreams
shall tame me.

Good one..
I find different meanings in this poem.
in dreams, never light, what is the right interpretation?? I guess that will be light as absence of darkness?? is it like the dreams are always the dark side of imagination??

And I get the impression that you try to hold on to the dreams (Leap, as I may) but the shackles hold you. Shaclkes of reality?? In that case, how is there is no escape from the dreams??

Dont mistake me but as a poet myself, I need to confirm my interpretations of any poem.

Nidhi,
The shackles that hold me,in this poem, are those of my dreams..so its not only life that has its limitations but also those of my dreams..but my dreams always haunt me..
well,i think i was very obfuscated in the second stanza..but i hope this helps.
